Assessments will give parents, educators, and support staff the strengths and weaknesses of the individual. Based on the needs of the student, goals and objectives can be made in order to help them succeed. This will affect the future decisions about placement, grading, instructional needs, and curriculum. All assessments given should be age and developmentally appropriate. They should be research based and reliable. Assessments and testing should be ongoing as the needs of the student might change.
